About

As the impact of the Coronavirus continues to reverberate throughout the comic book industry and our society as a whole, we at Fanbase Press would like to provide an opportunity for all comics industry professionals to join together in solidarity. On Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m./PST, Fanbase Press will host its weekly Creator Forum: Group Discussion, an hour-long, informal discussion about the positive ways to cope with the changing comics landscape. Taking place via the Zoom platform (video and audio), the Creator Forum will be free to join and limited to the first 100 attendees to RSVP. The previous Group Discussions have been a great success, with creators, publishers, media professionals, and educators from across the comics medium discussing new and positive ideas. We hope that this discussion will provide an opportunity to re-connect with colleagues, to find new resources and information, and to build hope in collaborating with other comics creators.

Fanbase Press' Creator Forum offers affordable, monthly online seminars geared towards independent creators from a variety of mediums.  Part lecture and part discussion, Creator Forum seminars are accessible to various experience levels and provide direct access to a knowledgeable and responsive specialist.  Fanbase Press invites you to develop and enhance your creative toolkit within a positive and supportive community from the comfort of your own home.

In light of the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on so many across the world, Fanbase Press would like to offer crafters of all ages and experience levels a FREE crafting pattern by Clarissa Thorne (Unexpected Hobby), creator of A Geek’s Guide to Cross-Stitch: Journeys in Space.  Crafters can celebrate the intrepid interplanetary explorer, Curiosity (pictured below), by creating their own unique design, using this FREE INSTRUCTION KIT.

Fanbase Press joined fellow indie creators and comic book fans in El Centro, CA, this past weekend (Saturday, February 15th, 2020) for Imperial Valley's official comic book convention held at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sports Pavilion. The day-long event featured a number of indie creators exhibiting, panels, cosplay, and a number of special guests (including Star Wars stunt actor Dickey Beer, Growing Pains' Jeremy Miller, writer Kyle Higgins on DC's Nightwing and Batman Beyond, WWE Wrestler Rikishi, and many more).

The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to make its first appearance at Imperial Valley Comic Con this year!  As a continuation of Fanbase Press' 10th anniversary celebration, the publishing company and special guest Sebastian Kadlecik (creator, Eisner Award-nominated Quince) will be exhibiting at Imperial Valley Comic Con, alongside a number of other talented independent creators! Taking place on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sports Pavilion in El Centro, CA, the event will be a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators, and creators of all pop culture genres. The Fanbase Press team and Sebastian Kadlecik will be meeting fans at the Fanbase Press booth, where you can purchase all of our graphic novels and comics, including the hardcover of Quince: The Definitive Bilingual Edition! Plus, Kadlecik, Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon, El Muerto's Javier Hernandez, and La Voz de M.A.Y.O.'s Henry Barajas will be participating in a Latinx-focused panel that you will not want to miss!
