On Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m./PST, Fanbase Press will host its weekly Creator Forum: Group Discussion, an hour-long, informal discussion about the positive ways to cope with the changing comics landscape. Taking place via the Zoom platform (video and audio), the Creator Forum will be free to join and limited to the first 100 attendees to RSVP. The previous Group Discussions have been a great success, with creators, publishers, media professionals, and educators from across the comics medium discussing new and positive ideas. We hope that this discussion will provide an opportunity to re-connect with colleagues, to find new resources and information, and to build hope in collaborating with other comics creators.

Part lecture and part discussion, Creator Forum seminars are accessible to various experience levels and provide direct access to a knowledgeable and responsive specialist. In spite of the cancellation of this year's in-person Día del Niño Bilingual Book Festival, dual language teacher Gisel Barret of Maxa Market and graphic designer Haydeé Yañez of MexiconsArt have rallied together to launch a VIRTUAL event! The event will take place from Friday, May 1, through Sunday, May 3 via Instagram Live (@ninosbookfest) with an incredible lineup of bilingual programming! The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to be participating for a read-a-long of its Eisner-nominated bilingual series, Quince, alongside a number of other talented creators!

In spite of the cancellation of this year's in-person Latinx Comic Arts Festival in Modesto, CA, Dr. Theresa Rojas and the convention organizers at Modesto Junior College have rallied together to launch a VIRTUAL CON! The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m./PST with a virtual Artist Alley, as well as an incredible lineup of programming!
