With appearances at Hi De Ho Comics in Santa Monica, CA, The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach, CA, and Earth-2 Comics in Sherman Oaks, CA, you're sure to have a day full of comics and fun! Plus, Fanbase Press is excited to announce its very first Free Comic Book Day exclusive!
Fanbase Press is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Geeky Parent Guide, a semi-monthly editorial series by Fanbase Press Contributor (and father of two) Travis Lakata that will help parents and other caregivers to safely and positively navigate various avenues of pop culture with their children.
The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to be exhibiting once again at WonderCon 2017, alongside a number of other talented independent creators! Taking place from March 31-April 2, 2017, at the Anaheim Convention Center, the annual event is a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators, and creators of all pop culture genres. Throughout the weekend, we will be reporting live from the convention floor, providing you with the coolest interviews, commentaries, screening details, and photos - along with meeting fans at the Fanbase Press booth (Small Press SP-99), where you can purchase all of our comics and graphic novels! Plus, Fanbase Press' staff and contributors will be participating in quite a few intriguing panels throughout the weekend that you will not want to miss!
The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to be exhibiting at the first-ever Santa Clarita Comic & Toy Expo! Taking place on Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19th, 2017, at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA (Valencia campus), the convention will feature a variety of exhibitors selling comics, toys, and "everything else that a true or even budding comic and toy fan will ever need!"
After an incredible three-year run, Fanbase Press' The PREVIEWS Party Podcast will come to a close with its final episode set to premiere on Friday, February 24, 2017. Over the course of its run, The PREVIEWS Party Podcast has examined Diamond Comic Distributor, Inc.’s monthly pre-order catalog, offering insights to listeners on the upcoming comics, graphic novels, and other merchandise that would be available in stores nationwide. Led by hosts Jason Enright (Fanbase Press Senior Contributor), Scott Rubin (Figures.com Collectibles Reviewer), Kristine Chester (Fanbase Press Senior Contributor), and Amanda Lawson (Manager of Emerald Knights Comics and Games), the show has educated comic book fans as to the exciting releases available, as well as the importance of pre-ordering and its effect on the comic book industry as a whole.

Taking place on Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center, the convention will feature independent and professional comic book creators, collectible and toy vendors, informational panels, a cosplay contest, and much more.

January is HERO HOTEL MONTH at Fanbase Press! For those readers in the SoCal area who may be unable to attend the upcoming signing for Yehudi Mercado's all-ages graphic novel, Hero Hotel, at Earth-2 Comics on Saturday, January 14th, do not fret! Fanbase Press invites readers to attend not one, but TWO additional signings in the SoCal area this month! Readers of all ages are invited to meet creator Yehudi Mercado and to pick up a signed copy of the graphic novel at Nostalgic Books and Comics on Saturday, January 21, from 2-4 p.m. AND at Hi De Ho Comics on Sunday, January 22, from 3:30-5:00 p.m.!
