Stay Tuned for Darby Pop’s Twitter Giveaway: Today Only!

Darby Pop Publishing made a big splash in the comic book industry when it announced in July of 2013 that it had formed a publishing and distribution agreement with IDW Publishing.  Since that time, the company has been off and running with a steady flow of exciting releases like City: The Mind in the Machine, Indestructible, and 7th Sword.  To celebrate New Comic Book Day this week, the good folks at Darby Pop have generously provided us with digital codes (through iBooks) for City: The Mind in the Machine #1 and Indestructible #1-3 to share with our readers!  Be sure to read on to find out how you can win these digital comics.

Fanboy Comics will be tweeting the free iBooks codes through the FBC (@FanboyComix) Twitter account between 4:00-5:00 p.m./PST TODAY ONLY.  Please note that the codes are for one-time use only and are on a first come, first served basis.  Be on the lookout for the #DarbyPopRules hashtag.

The digital codes to be given away include the following comic book series:

*City: The Mind in the Machine #1
Ben Fischer helped build the world’s greatest surveillance system, Golden Shield, which utilizes every camera, cell phone, and computer in San Francisco to battle crime. There is only one problem: Golden Shield can’t properly function without a human mind to operate it, resulting in a controversial melding of man and machine. Writer Eric Garcia (Matchstick Men) and artist Javier Fernandez deliver an action-packed story that questions the roles that security and technology play in our modern society.

*Indestructible #1-3
Meet Greg Pincus — the planet’s brand-spanking-newest Superhero. One small problem: Greg is neither super, nor particularly heroic. But, he sure enjoys the perks that come with the job. Can Greg survive in a celebrity-obsessed world that wrongly believes he’s indestructible? Jeff Kline (Transformers: Prime, G.I. Joe: Renegades) explores this comedic take on a reluctant hero, and contemplates what is required to be considered “special” in a world where fame can come and go faster than a speeding bullet.

Fanboy Comics will also be hosting other giveaways in the future, so be sure to sign up for FBC’s free daily e-newsletter, The Fanboy Scoop, so you are sure not to miss any of our updates or contests! You can also follow Fanboy Comics on Facebook and Twitter (@FanboyComix).
