Join Fanboy Comics and LA’s Indie Creators at Long Beach Comic & Horror Expo 2013

Dear Fanboy Comics Readers:

The FBC staff is very excited to be exhibiting at Long Beach Comic & Horror Con, along with a host of other talented independent creators! Taking place from November 23-24, 2013, at the Long Beach Convention Center, LBCHC is a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators, and creators of all types of pop culture.

Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanboy Comics booth (#1812) to meet the creators of the graphic novels The Arcs, Something Animal, and Identity Thief. (Fanboy Comics’ creator signing schedule may be found below.) Attendees will also be able to purchase the official Fanboy Comics t-shirt, so that they can show their geek pride in style.

In addition, you will not want to miss the Super Indie Comic Book Creation Panel taking place on Sunday at 2 p.m., where LA-based independent comic book creators will discuss their own experiences in self-publishing, providing sage advice for creators interested in doing the same. Moderated by Darby Pop Publishing Marketing Director Jason Enright, the panelists will include Kristopher White (Father Robot, The Thirty Six), John Bring (Penguins vs. Possums), and Barbra Dillon (Fanboy Comics Managing Editor).

A host of talented, LA-based indie creators will also be exhibiting at the convention, including the creators of Penguins vs. Possums (John Bring, Sebastian Kadlecik, and Lindsay Calhoon Bring) at Table 1506, who will have the latest issue (Issue #4) of the series and will be offering a special PVPackage: 5 comics, a t-shirt, and a print for $30! They will also have a LBCHC special of 5 comics for $15!  In addition, Kristopher White (Father Robot, The Thirty Six) may be found at Table 2311, offering copies of The Thirty Six trade paperback for $15 plus a special preview of Father Robot for $5. Author Justin Robinson will be found at Table 1908 with copies of six of his books available for sale, including Everyman for the very first time anywhere ever!  All of the books will be sold for a lower price than you can find them anywhere else, so why not take advantage of the opportunity?!

Justin Robinson will also be moderating the panel “From Your Fears to Fiction” along with Clint Wolf, co-creator of Zombie Ranch, on Sunday at 3 p.m.  They will be talking about using one’s own fears as grist for the horror mill.

Everyone at Fanboy Comics is greatly looking forward to the convention, and we hope to see you there!
