STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE RELEASES NEW PICTURE BOOKONCE –
UPON A TIME THERE WAS A PIG BY DANI JONES NATIONWIDE

September 11, 2013 Los Angeles—Following the successful release of Dani Jones’s fan favorite children’s book MONSTERS VS KITTENS, Stan Lee’s Kids Universe (SLKU), the multiplatform children’s book’s label from POW! Entertainment and 1821 Media, is releasing nationwide this week its second title from Dani Jones, ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A PIG, a new colorful picture book for kids.

ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A PIG is available as a soft cover book and eBook on multiple platforms. ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A PIG tells the fun tale of a little pig named Hamilton who wants to tell a story but keeps getting interrupted by a cast of eclectic animal friends. The release comes on the heels of SLKU’s release this month of REGGIE THE VEGGIE, a colorful storybook.

Commented Stan Lee: “Dani Jones has a knack for creating great characters in immersive worlds that kids love and keep coming back to. We saw this with MONSTERS VS KITTENS and we are seeing it again with ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A PIG. It’s lighthearted and educational at the same time. These are exactly the kind of books we want to be releasing at Stan Lee’s Kids Universe.” “We are delighted to continue building and adding to our portfolio of high quality properties and new characters,” said Stan Lee’s Kids Universe Editor In Chief Terry Dougas. “This latest installment from Dani Jones has been buzzing for months and we are proud to be releasing it nationwide this month. In the coming months, SLKU will be releasing even more books, games and partnerships. It’s really a dream come true for us, Stan Lee and POW!”
