Join Fanbase Press and Talented Comics Creators and Artists at the 2023 Latinx Comic Arts Festival

Award-winning publisher Fanbase Press is thrilled to make its return to the Latinx Comic Arts Festival (LCAF), alongside a number of other talented independent creators and artist from across the US! Taking place on Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Modesto Junior College’s West Campus in Modesto, CA, the event is the Central Valley’s celebration of Latinx creators and friends. This FREE comics convention features cartoonists, writers, artists, animators, storyboard artists, and more. Even better, it’s an ALL-AGES, FAMILY FRIENDLY event open to the community! Each day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., we will be meeting fans at the Fanbase Press booth, where you can purchase all of our comics and graphic novels, including the 2022 International Latino Book Awards winner Nuclear Power!

Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanbase Press table to pick up all of our comics and graphic novels, including the 2018 Eisner Award-nominated Quince, the multiple award-winning Quince: The Definitive Bilingual Edition hardcover, and the award-winning Nuclear Power trade paperback by co-writers Desirée Proctor and Erica Harrell (Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades, Deadshot: Mercy) and illustrator Lynne Yoshii (Marvel’s Voices: Identity), and the recently released graphic medicine series, Ripple Effects, which was included in the American Library Association’s 2022 Best Graphic Novels for Adults Reading List!

EXHIBITORS IN ATTENDANCE

Some of the 2023 exhibitors will include the Jaime Crespo (Tortilla), Cathy Camper (Lowriders in Space), Alex Schumacher (The Ill-Effects of Pickled Herring), Comadres y Comics Podcast Team, Amber Padilla (The Secret Garden on 81st Street), Paul Meyer (Under the Cottonwood Tree), Manuel Martinez, Javier Hernandez (El Muerto), Rafael Navarro (Sonambulo, Guns A’ Blazin’), Crystal Gonzalez (In the Dark), Don Nguyen (Pablo the Gorilla), and Christie Shinn (President of CAPS), among many others!  A full list of exhibitors may be found on the LCAF website.

PROGRAMMING
