Mortifera is the story of two demon hunters, Catherine and Ethan Gregor, and their demonic ally, Durin, as they hunt down the army of Kanisus during the period classically known as the Dark Ages. If, for some reason, you haven’t already checked out the free first three issues of this comic, than you can find them here. If, for some reason, you need a little more convincing to read free comics, then you can check out my reviews for Issue #1 and Issues #2 and #3. It’s also well worth checking out MoreFrames’ animated Mortifera trailer.

But, the story of Mortifera doesn’t end there. Writer and creator Stephan Frost and artist Sarah Partington are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to help them complete work on not only Issue #4 of this fun and action-packed demon hunting series, but a trade paperback collection of all of the issues. With assistance from the series’ fans, Frost and Partington hope to continue telling Catherine, Ethan, and Durin’s story well after this first arc. Backer rewards range from a .pdf copy of Issue #4 to signed Mortifera posters, t-shirts, the collected graphic novel, and even the opportunity to be drawn into the comic as a member of the Mortifera or Exturminata, just to name a few.
