The Arkham Sessions, hosted by Dr. Andrea Letamendi and Brian Ward, is a weekly podcast dedicated to the psychological analysis of Batman: The Animated Series. Nostalgic, humorous, and even a little educational, each episode promises to lend some insight into the heroes, villains, and classic stories of the Dark Knight!
The Arkham Sessions, Ep. 90 “Batman Day”
As many of you know, I have a special “bond” with Batman, and it all began with Batman: The Animated Series! As a psychologist, I often turn to comic book characters to explore relationships, elucidate patterns, and teach others about the fundamentals of psychological science. I feel that others must also have an “origin story,” right?!
This week we’re dedicating a very special episode to the man of the hour, Batman! To commemorate the Caped Crusader on #BatmanDay (September 17th), we discuss what Batman has meant to us over the years and share the various stories we have received about the impact Batman has made on the lives of our listeners!
In addition, as we have arrived at the end of the original B:TAS collection, we provide a “wrap-up” discussion of the progress, transformation, and psychological growth demonstrated by the core characters of the show, including of course Batman and The Joker! Tune in for our in-depth thoughts! – Andrea
