5:00 p.m.: Women on the Dark Side Not all female artists/creators are about unicorns and glittery vampires and silly pseudo-bondage. Some women create truly dark and challenging art and content, with just enough humor and whimsy to counterbalance all that darkness. Whether it’s comic books, novels, or art, these are the women who are creating content that connects with the deeper, darker side of all of us. Join Susan Lee (Wraith of Love), Nicole Sixx (F**ked Up Shit), Genevieve Nylen (A Beautiful Place, cosplayer), and Madeleine Holly-Rosing (Boston Metaphysical Society) in this panel moderated by Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon. 6:00 p.m.: Fanbase Press Presents: Play it Again with Retro Modernism One can argue that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) marked the beginning of a new “-ism” for the 21st century – retro modernism – which gives reverence to the prior decades’ films, television shows, music, and video games, specifically from the late 1970s through the early 1990s. Stranger Things, Drive, and Guardians of the Galaxy are just a few examples in which their visual and musical cues re-imagine and give homage to their earlier roots. Led by Fanbase Press Editorials Manager Michele Brittany, panelists Nicholas Diak, Tony Fleec, and Livio Ramandelli will discuss how they have been influenced by retro modernism through their writing and art. Room 106

Led by Fanbase Press Editorials Manager Michele Brittany, join our panelists as they discuss how animals allow them to explore themes and tell stories in comics. Room 103

Led by Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon, this panel features indie creators Jason Inman and Ashley V. Robinson (Jupiter Jet), Sebastian Kadlecik (Quince), and Stefano Terry (The Gamma Gals) discussing their new superhero creations and why it was important to launch all-new hero origins. Room 106
