The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to return to ArtNight Pasadena on Friday, October 13, 2017, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Pasadena Public Library! ArtNight is a citywide arts festival in Pasadena, CA, held twice per year, highlighting music, dance, and all forms of visual arts, including comic books.
As part of this year’s ArtNight, the Pasadena Public Library is hosting an author fair in various rooms throughout the building, with the Northeast Reading Room dedicated to comics and graphic novels, showcasing the works of independent comics writers and artists, as well as their related works. This year, the list of attendees from the comics field includes the Fanbase Press staff, cartoonist Lonnie Millsap, Russell Nohelty of Wannabe Press, Javier Hernandez, Cecil Castellucci, Kim Dwinell, Mairghread Scott (Toil and Trouble, Transformers), Hex 11, representatives from the Latino Comics Expo, First Second Books, Humanoids Publishing, and many, many more!
Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanbase Press table to learn more about the self-publishing process, as well as graphic novels Hero Hotel, The Gamma Gals, Penguins vs. Possums, The Arcs, Something Animal, Identity Thief, and the illustrated horror poetry book, Fearworms: Selected Poems, which is sure to be a spooky treat just in time for Halloween. In addition, attendees will have a chance to pre-order our upcoming all-ages graphic novel, Quince, and to purchase an official Fanbase Press t-shirt.
Everyone at Fanbase Press is greatly looking forward to ArtNight Pasadena, and we hope to see you there!
