Fanbase Press is excited to announce that the creative team of the comic book series, Quince, will be appearing at the Geekscape booth (#3919) at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Creators Kit Steinkellner (Writer, Z: The Beginning of Everything), Emma Steinkellner (Artist, Ayzenberg), and Sebastian Kadlecik (Creator, Penguins vs. Possums) will be signing limited edition 11” x 14” prints featuring the cover of the upcoming Quince trade paperback for the first 100 attendees to stop by the booth.
The Quince signing will follow the Fanbase Press Presents: Introducing Quince panel on July 22 at 3:00 p.m. in Room 28DE. During the panel, the Quince creative team will discuss the series and the importance of inclusivity and representation in the comic book medium. The panel will be moderated by Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon.
Quince is a 15-issue, creator-owned comic book series that is currently being released by Fanbase Press on ComiXology on the 15th of every month in English and Spanish. The series follows a year in the life of Lupe, a 15-year-old girl who discovers that her quinceañera brings with it a super cool party . . . and superpowers. Lupe’s quince powers only last as long as she’s fifteen, so over the course of this rollercoaster year, we follow the adventures of Lupe as she figures out what it really means to be a hero.
The English-language version of the series will be collected into a printed trade paperback that will be released on Monday, October 23, 2017. SDCC attendees will have the opportunity to pre-order the trade paperback during the Quince signing or to pre-order on the Fanbase Press website (www.fanbasepress.com).
