With the return of Long Beach Comic Expo just over a week away, the annual event (which showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators, and creators of all pop culture genres) has been steadily announcing the exciting lineup of programming scheduled for the convention. This morning, Fanboy Comics is honored to announce the inclusion of two additional panels – Winning the Race with Dark Horse Talent and #MakeComics: An Intimate Look at the Writing Styles of Successful Comics Writers – each to be hosted by FBC Contributor and essayist Michele Brittany (James Bond and Popular Culture)!
The Winning the Race with Dark Horse Talent panel is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. with panelists Michael Avon Oeming (Rapture, The Victories), Scott Kolins (Adam.3!), Dan Jolley (Bloodhound, LARP!), and Marlin Shoop (LARP!) talking about their creator-owned properties at Dark Horse and what comes next!
The #MakeComics: An Intimate Look at the Writing Styles of Successful Comics Writers panel is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Writers have different processes for how they come up with their material, and attendees will learn about the different mindsets and what each writer does to produce the best possible script from panelists Joshua Dysart, Jimmy Palmiotti, Frank Tieri, Alex de Campi, and James Tynion IV.
