As of late, the technological advances in virtual reality gaming, especially through the Oculus Rift platform, have been extraordinarily exciting to witness.  The possibilities for VR in the coming years are endless, and the journey to get there is just as fun.  For that reason, Fanboy Comics readers will be interested to know that Coatsink, the UK-based video game developer responsible for games like Pinch, Pinch 2, and Esper, will be returning to the VR realm with Esper 2, accompanied by a stellar voice cast.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Esper has players becoming an agent of ESPR, an organization set up to deal with the recent outbreak of telekinetic powers among citizens. Players travel to exotic locations, solve puzzles, discover secrets, foil nefarious plots, and fall unconscious multiple times.

In Esper 2, players will reprise their roles from the original game and interact with a dynamic array of new characters voiced by notable actors Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), Lara Pulver (Irene Adler from Sherlock), and Sean Pertwee (Alfred from Gotham).  In addition, friend of Fanboy Comics Daniel Corey (Moriarty, Red City, Bloodworth) assisted in the writing process for the game, and everyone at FBC looks forward to seeing his contributions!

Esper 2 invites you to join the ranks and travel the world in a first-person puzzle adventure designed especially for VR, while trying not to aggravate the game’s characters in the process . . . because they’ll let you know if you do. Good luck and stay tuned to the Coatsink website for details on the game’s release.
