The Fanboy Comics staff is very excited to be exhibiting at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo again this year, along with a host of other talented independent creators! Taking place from October 30-November 1, 2015, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Comikaze Expo is LA’s largest pop culture convention.
Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanboy Comics table (Table Y13) to meet the creators of the graphic novels Penguins vs. Possums: Volume One, The Arcs, Something Animal, Identity Thief, and Fearworms: Selected Poems! (Fanboy Comics’ creator signing schedule may be found below.) Attendees will also be able to purchase the official Fanboy Comics t-shirt, the ever-so-adorable PVP Minis, art prints, and other fantastic Fanboy Comics merchandise!
In addition, you will not want to miss Fanboy Comics’ perennial panel, Indie Creators, Unite! A Guide to Self-Publishing, which will take place on Saturday, October 31, at 4:00 p.m. in Room 501BC, where LA-based independent comic book creators will discuss their own experiences in self-publishing, providing sage advice for creators interested in doing the same. Moderated by Fanboy Comics Managing Editor Barbra Dillon, the panelists will include Siike Donnelly (OSSM Comics, Solestar), Madeleine Holly-Rosing (Boston Metaphysical Society), William Orr (Hunter Black), Kevin Bieber (Man vs. Rock), and Bryant Dillon (Fanboy Comics President, Identity Thief, Something Animal), and they will guide you through the self-publishing process and answer all of your questions.
Attendees will also find a plethora of other independent comic book creators on the showroom floor! Joshua Hauke (Tales of the Brothers Three) will be at Artist’s Alley Table Y11 with copies of all of his books, handing out free monster mazes. (As a special treat, if anyone cosplays as a character from his comic, they will get a free poster!) Comic creators Josh Trujillo (Love Machines) and David Quantic (The Corporeals) will be at Table V16 in Artist Alley, and on November 1, Trujillo will be moderating a panel about his anthology, Death Saves: Fallen Heroes of the Kitchen Table, at 11:00 a.m. Last, but certainly not least, husband-and-wife duo extraordinaire Chris and Claire Thorne will be at Artist Alley Table N17, with Chris selling various art prints and commissions and Claire displaying her geeky stitchery from An Unexpected Hobby.
Please visit the Comikaze Expo website to purchase your tickets for this exciting event.
Everyone at Fanboy Comics is greatly looking forward to the convention, and we hope to see you there!
