The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to be exhibiting once again at WonderCon 2025, alongside a number of talented independent creators! Taking place from March 28-30, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center, the annual event is a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators, and creators of all pop culture genres. Throughout the weekend, we will be meeting fans at the Fanbase Press booth (Small Press SP-81), where you can purchase all of our award-winning comics and graphic novels and meet the creators! The team will also be participating in lots of incredible panels, so be sure to check out the programming and signing schedules below.

1:00 p.m.: Build Your Community: The Importance of Community for Comics Creators – In these challenging times within the shifting comic book landscape, community is more necessary and valuable than ever. Led by Bryant Dillon (president, Fanbase Press), comic book creators Corinna Bechko (The Space Between), Ray-Anthony Height (Midnight Tiger), Charlie Stickney (White Ash), and Arthur Ebuen (California, Inc.) speak to the value of the comic book community, how one can maximize its positive aspects, and how we can all help the comic book community grow and prosper. 5:00 p.m.: Creators, Assemble: Comics Camaraderie Networking Event – Together, creators, publishers, comic shop owners, teachers, and library workers have brought greater acceptance to comics and fan culture. Take a break from hectic convention life to experience “speed dating” style networking with diverse comics enthusiasts from all backgrounds. A group of professional geek and nerd parents – including Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon – discuss how nerdy jobs, hobbies, and fandoms inform parenting and help guide parents in raising the next generation of physically and emotionally healthy nerds. 3:00 p.m.: ComiXology Originals: Lights, Camera . . . Comics! – Actor Thomas Jane (Troppo, The Lycan), writer/producer Matthew Arnold (Emerald City, Eden), animator/producer and writer Chuck Austen (She-Ra and the Princess of Power, The Tormented, Edgeworld), and newcomer Omar Morales (Major Thomás, LA Strong) discuss comics, storytelling, their passions, inspirations, and latest projects. 10:00 p.m.: The Micro-Publisher Boom – We are experiencing an unprecedented micro-publishing boom in comics. Creators who have worked with companies like Marvel, DC, and Scout for years are walking away from traditional publishing to start their own companies. Rylend Grant and David Avallone, co-hosts of the Telly Award–winning Writers Block podcast, sit down with Micro Publishing company honchos—including Barbra Dillon (Fanbase Press), Ray Anthony Height (Studio Skye-Tiger), and Charlie Stickney (White Ash Comics)—to discuss how and why they went into business for themselves. 11:30 a.m.: My Comic History in Three Panels – What are the impactful graphic novels/comic issues that shaped your love for graphic literature? Choose your three favorites and join a panel of comics creators, comics professionals, and academics for an interactive discussion of the works that influenced their personal and professional lives, as well as picks from the audience. Alex Antone (editorial director, Skybound Entertainment/Image Comics), Dr. Matthew Atherton (associate professor of social sciences, CSUSM), David M. Booher (Killer Queens,Canto), and Barbra Dillon (president and co-founder, Fanbase Press) identify the key moments that shaped our love for a medium. 1:30 p.m.: Publishing on Your Own Terms for Your Benefit – As contracts become more stringent in story/character control and as corporations are bought by larger and larger entities, modern comic book creators are constantly looking for ways to build a fanbase while keeping their narrative integrity intact. When a story is close to your heart, how can you ensure the indie and/or self-publishing routes benefit both your creativity and the consumer at the same time? Arthur N. Ebuen (writer/producer/director, Studio 12-7), Justin Giampaoli (writer/editor/critic, Thirteen Minutes), Barbra Dillon (editor-in-chief, Fanbase Press), Dave Law (artist, Art of Dave Law), Jessica Maison (writer/director/publisher, Wicked Tree Press), and Marcus McNeal (editor-in-chief, Odyssey Comics) discuss the many hats you need to wear as an independent creator, how small press is being recognized by the industry as a whole, and what practical tips and strategies new creators need to see their important ideas printed on the page. - Writer Charlie Stickney will be in Booth 1211 with a WonderCon exclusive special printing (150 copies) of Glarien #1 featuring a cover by Conor Hughes.
- Boston Metaphysical Society will be in Small Press (Table SP-76) with the first-ever Special Edition hardbacks of Volume One and Volume Two.

Doan will also have copies of the free comic, MONSTER ELEMENTARY: FRANCESCA’S BIG HALLOWEEN, and he will be hosting creator Mike Barton at the booth with his brand new comic, THE SUICIDALS.
- Cartoonist Lonnie Millsap will be in Artist Alley (Table D-09).
- Writer/artist Livio Ramondelli (The Kill Lock, Transformers) will be in Artist Alley (Table A-18).
- Studio 12-7 (Arthur N. Ebuen) will be in Artist Alley (Table D-39). The complete series of ©ALIFORNIA, INC. will be available for the first time. Art will also have his new art prints series, featuring some of his favorite pop culture characters with their vehicles.
- Randy Reynaldo will be in Small Press (Table SP-89) under his WCG Comics imprint. He’ll have his full catalog of back issues and trade paperback compilations of his long-running rollicking globetrotting action series, Rob Hanes Adventures, available with special discounts, along with original art and prints for sale. He’ll also have a preview of upcoming issue 26 that drags Rob into the billionaire space race when he’s sent on assignment to an orbiting space station under construction. Randy is a past Inkpot Award winner.
