Fanbase Press is proud to announce that the Paul and Corey Cross the Streams (PACCTS) podcast will return for its seventh season on Thursday, February 6, 2025!
Launched in March of 2019, Paul and Corey Cross the Streams is a bi-monthly podcast in which hosts Paul Pakler and Corey Pepper (co-hosts, Quality Time with Family Ties podcast) watch and review streaming content. It’s the Great American Podcast where two friends learn about life as they float down the river of streaming services.
As we are now a quarter of the way through the 21st century, like Bill Murray in Tootsie, hosts Paul and Corey find themselves asking, “What happened?” After the rousing success of last season, exploring the Sight and Sound’s Greatest Films of All Time list, Paul and Corey are looking to broaden their outlook to the trends, genres, styles, and more that make up cinema of the past 25 years.
The first episode of Season 7 will focus on the film, Juror #2 (2024).
“I had a blast this past year getting to discuss filmmakers and examine cultures that I hadn’t before. It also required a lot of homework,” notes co-host Paul Pakler. “This season, I’m looking forward to letting my hair down and having a bit more fun with watching ‘movies’ over ‘films.'”
Co-host Corey Pepper adds, “This past year was my favorite so far, because Paul selected a surprising amount of esoteric films that didn’t enrage me and instead I picked the films that were meh. This season with our new focus on the 21st century, I expect Paul to go back to his old ways and pick movies that force me to medicate. Like Green Book. And instead I shall select winners like Moonlight (2016) and Oh Brother, Where Art Thou (2000). And I’m growing up, we might even throw in something from the MCU. Might.”
The Season 7 premiere of Paul and Corey Cross the Streams will be released on Thursday, February 6, 2025, on the Fanbase Press website (www.fanbasepress.com) and through Apple Podcasts. Subsequent episodes will air every other Thursday.
