Dear Fanboy Comics Readers:

Today is August 4th, and you know what that means, dear readers. Only 25 more days until nuclear holocaust and the machine revolution!

As many fanboys and fangirls know, Skynet is the artificially intelligent computer system that serves as a major villain in the Terminator franchise. According to James Cameron’s Terminator lore, Skynet was originally installed into the U.S. military mainframe to control the national arsenal on August 4, 1997. (Don’t worry, Sarah Connor Chronicles fans. We will celebrate your Activation Day in April.) It was only 25 days later, on August 29th, that Skynet became self-aware and decided to exterminate the human race.

We at Fanboy Comics wish you a Happy Skynet Activation Day and encourage you to pat yourself on the back for all of your amazing accomplishments! Skynet Activation Day is a time to be over confident, foolhardy, and fully convinced that humans are the ultimate form of intelligent life! Don’t forget to spend time trusting machines implicitly! Is your coffer maker plotting against you? Of course not! It’s making your coffee, silly goose!

Don’t forget to check back with us in 25 days, on August 29th, for a Happy Judgment Day, when the fun will continue as over three billion humans will be killed in a matter of minutes, governments around the world will collapse, anarchy will descend, and the rise of the machines will follow! Yippee!

Sincerely,
Bryant Dillon
