LOS ANGELES, CA – MAY 11, 2015 – Fanboy Comics (FBC) is proud to announce the latest addition to its podcast lineup with the critically acclaimed series, The Arkham Sessions, hosted by Dr. Andrea Letamendi and Brian Ward!

Since early 2014, Letamendi and Ward have revisited Batman: The Animated Series through the analytical eyes of a clinical psychologist. Heralded as one of the greatest storytelling vehicles of all time, the television show’s tone, subject matter, and depth in storytelling and character development are exemplary and undergo the psychological analysis it deserves in The Arkham Sessions.

Each week, the co-hosts watch the series, in production order, with a keen eye toward revealing the very real psychology behind its characters and then put Batman and his “Rogues Gallery” on the couch for a fun, insightful weekly session. “My personal mission is to increase awareness and knowledge of psychology, including mental health disorders, and to provide a safe place to discuss these themes,” says Letamendi. “But, we’re also getting the chance to talk about Batman, so you know each episode is going to be fun.”

The first episode of The Arkhams Sessions will be released under the Fanboy Comics banner on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, and can be found at www.fanboycomics.net, www.UndertheMaskOnline.com, or by subscribing via iTunes, Libsyn, and other fine podcast outlets.  Subsequent episodes will air every Tuesday.

“We are excited and humbled to team up with Fanboy Comics,” says Letamendi. “It’s great to know that we’re now part of a community that’s as interested in educating as it is simply entertaining.”

“After more than a year of doing The Arkham Sessions,” says Ward, “we couldn’t be happier to finally be involved with people like the folks at Fanboy Comics. I mean, the word ‘fan’ is in their company name. They know what it means to be fans. And, those are the people we’re wanting to call ‘friends.’ Oh, and ‘boss.'”

Batman: The Animated Series is available on DVD and on Amazon Instant Video from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
