It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, it’s almost time for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, and the great folks at Blastoff Comics in North Hollywood, CA, are pulling out all of the stops this year.  For those unfamiliar with Free Comic Book Day, on the first Saturday in May each year, participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. This is a great way to bring those who may be unfamiliar with the comic book medium into the fold.  On Saturday, May 2, 2015, Blastoff Comics and the Knitting Factory Entertainment will be taking NoHo by storm for the first-ever Blastoff ComicsFest, with loads of free comics and sketches, tons of talented comic book creators, a beer garden, loads of tasty food, rocking music, and more!

Celebrate Free Comic Book Day with Music, Food, Beer and Comic Book Creators

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY will be bigger than ever this year in North Hollywood, when Blastoff Comics and Knitting Factory Entertainment team up to present the first-ever BLASTOFF COMICSFEST! 

Taking place on May 2, 2015, at The Federal in North Hollywood from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., BLASTOFF COMICSFEST will be the place to be in Los Angeles for Free Comic Book Day, with comics creators from Marvel, DC, IDW Publishing, Image, Dark Horse and more on hand to sign comics, provide free sketches and meet with comic-book fans young and old outdoors in the beautiful Southern California sun! With a beer garden, food stations, a live DJ, costumed hero photo ops, and of course, plenty of free comics!
