The Fanboy Comics staff is very excited to be exhibiting at Long Beach Comic Expo next weekend, alongside a number of other talented independent creators! Taking place on Saturday, February 28, (from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and Sunday, March 1, 2015, (from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at the Long Beach Convention Center, the annual event is a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators, and creators of all pop culture genres.  In addition, Fanboy Comics will be hosting two exciting panels spanning the process of comic book creation, and we invite you to join in on the fun!

Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanboy Comics table (Artist’s Alley #A2) to meet the creators of the graphic novels Penguins vs. Possums: Volume One, The Arcs, Something Animal, Identity Thief, Fearworms: Selected Poems! (Fanboy Comics’ creator signing schedule may be found below.) Attendees will also be able to purchase the official Fanboy Comics t-shirt, so that they can show their geek pride in style.

In addition, you will not want to miss Fanboy Comics’ panels, which will include the following:

The Indie Creators, Unite! A Guide to Self-Publishing panel will take place on Sunday, March 1, at 3:00 p.m. in Room S3A, where LA-based independent comic book creators will discuss their own experiences in self-publishing, providing sage advice for creators interested in doing the same. Moderated by Fanboy Comics Managing Editor Barbra Dillon, the panelists will include Yehudi Mercado (Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon, Rocket Salvage, Buffalo Speedway), Andrew Robinson (The Fifth Beatle), John Bring (Penguins vs. Possums), Jacob Semahn (Goners), and Bryant Dillon (Fanboy Comics President, Identity Thief, Something Animal), will guide you through the self-publishing process and answer all of your questions.

The #MakeComics: PREVIEWS & the Direct Market panel will take place on Sunday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m. in Room S5.  Love comics but unfamiliar with the pre-ordering process? Unsure how to tackle the monthly PREVIEWS catalog? Join the hosts of Fanboy Comics’ PREVIEWS Party Podcast (Darby Pop Publishing’s Jason Enright and Kristine Chester and Figures.com’s Scott Rubin), moderator Sam Rhodes (Fanboy Comics Creative Director), and special guest Mairghread Scott (Transformers: Windblade) as they discuss the importance of pre-ordering, its effect on the comic book industry, how to conquer the PREVIEWS catalog, and the upcoming comics, graphic novels, and other merchandise that will soon be available in stores nationwide.
