Greetings, FBC fans!

The staff of Fanboy Comics and I would like to wish our favorite blonde vampire slayer, Buffy Summers, a Happy 34th Birthday!  Even though her birthdays tend to end in disaster (boyfriend loses his soul, loss of super powers, etc.), we thought it was only appropriate to be there for the Chosen One on her special day and to help her blow out the candles . . . or decapitate demons – whatever it takes!  Happy Birthday, Ms. Summers, and thanks for saving the world . . . a lot!

Are you also a fan of the Buffster? Do you consider yourself a rouge demon hunter? Well, FBC has a few suggestions for our fellow Scoobies when it comes to how to celebrate Buffy’s big day.

Pick up a Copy of Buffy: Season 10 #11 This Wednesday (and Read My Review This Thursday)! – Dark Horse Comics’ Buffy: Season 10 has been a strong series so far, and thanks to an advance copy, I can attest to the fact that this week’s upcoming issue is not to be missed! Writer Christos Gage (Avengers Academy) continues to work the magic he brought to Angel & Faith last season, and while artist Rebekah Isaacs is MIA for Issue #11, her work has been absolutely superb this season. In addition, Xander Harris himself, Nicholas Brendon, is co-writing the current story arc with Gage and fill-in artist Megan Levens (who is absolutely rocking it and making Isaacs’ absence a little less painful).

As I mentioned earlier, Issue #11 is not one to be missed. Along with a stellar script and artwork, long-term fans will be rewarded with several juicy character moments before the “rising music” of the final page. If you’ve read my reviews of the Buffy comic series before, you know that I like to post them on the Thursday after the release, so that I’m free to dig in, discuss, and debate all of the spoilery details within the latest issue. This week will be no different, so I hope you will check back at FBC on Thursday to compare and contrast opinions on the latest chapter in this fantastic comic book continuation of the beloved TV series!

We record an episode at the close of each season and discuss each season, in detail, with a number of special guests! Below are links to episodes released so far:

Well, there you have it, my fellow Scoobies. Normally, this is the time when I remind Buff to please report to the FBC President’s office for her annual birthday spanking, but after last year and the full body cast, we’re going to just skip right past that part.

Hope you birthday is a blast, Buffy! You deserve it!

‘Till the end of the world,
