Dear Fanboy Comics Readers:

Last week kicked off the summer of comic book fun at Barnes & Noble in Valencia, CA, with their “Get Pop-Cultured™ with Barnes & Noble” events, and the fun is set to continue throughout the next few weeks! Lasting through Sunday, August 10th, the Valencia location will be hosting free comic book events in their store, highlighting popular comic book properties from Guardians of the Galaxy to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You won’t want to miss these fun (and FREE!) activities that will be sure to be a blast for the whole family, and the Fanboy Comics will be there to celebrate all things geek with you!

Marvel will be celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and Barnes & Noble is honoring that milestone with a special Marvel Day in stores nationwide on Saturday, August 2. With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, customers will want to explore Barnes & Noble’s vast Marvel offerings and will have the chance to win a variety of merchandise including Marvel tote bags and Marvel 75th Anniversary posters.  Stop by Barnes & Noble Valencia for story time at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and participate in fun activities, giveaways, and product offerings all day long!

In addition, Fanboy Comics will be at the Valencia location, along with artists Sebastian Kadlecik (Penguins vs. Possums) and Chris Thorne (The 36, Skin Crawling Comics), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 2nd to meet comic book fans and to provide free sketches of your favorite comic book characters!  Be sure to stop by to meet the FBC crew and to receive your FREE sketch!
