You’re invited to join GameHaus Board Game Café in Glendale, CA to celebrate International TableTop Day on Saturday, April 5th, starting at 11:00 a.m.!

According to TableTopDay.com, International TableTop Day “is a reminder to spend more time and strengthen the bonds with the people who matter most, our friends and family, by playing games together. TableTop gaming promotes many positive social and cognitive benefits like increased communication, team work, planning, and is an excellent stress relieving activity for all ages.” International TableTop Day also represents the anniversary of the launch of the hit show TableTop, hosted by Wil Wheaton (Star Trek, The Big Bang Theory, Leverage).

GameHaus features a library of over 750 board and card game titles, as well as a coffee bar and menu offering great food and drink. Similar to Snakes and Lattés in Toronto, customers wishing to play games are charged a $5.00 cover with no time limit – they may play as many games as they wish for the entire day.

The game collection is diverse, offering classics like Risk, Monopoly, and Candy Land, modern strategy games like Ticket to Ride, Agricola, and 7 Wonders, party games like Taboo, Balderdash, and Trivial Pursuit, and recent releases like Dominion and King of Tokyo. While customers are playing, they can choose from a full line of coffee drinks (courtesy of Groundwork Coffee) and tea drinks (courtesy of Harney & Sons), as well as cold sandwiches, hot paninis, cornmeal pizzas, and their signature dish – pie!

Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, and they will be open until midnight. Tickets are $15.00 per person and will grant players all-day access to the library, a drink ticket redeemable for soda, hot/iced tea, or hot/iced coffee, plus a slice of delicious cake! Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and are available to be purchased in person at the café during normal business hours or can be bought over the phone.
