The good folks at Brave New World Comics in Newhall, CA, are calling all geek girls!  On Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., the friendly, neighborhood comic book shop (which is female owned and operated, by the way!) will be hosting Geek Girls’ Night, a chance for fans of the female persuasion to let their geek flag fly and enjoy a host of fun activities, panel discussions, giveaways, and more!

Fans in attendance will have the chance to enjoy the random silliness of an all-girl, all-amazing comedy improv troupe, a geeky craft workshop with a super cool make-and-take project, and a gallery featuring art from fabulous female artists! Geek girls will also be able to compete in a geeky trivia game and win incredible prizes! Live music will be provided by the incredibly talented Sarah Wallin Huff, and . . . you have just got to get a geeky manicure before the night is over!

In addition to all of the fantastic events and fun stuff Brave New World has planned for you, Geek Girls’ Night will also mark the GRAND OPENING of their Geek Boutique . . . a tightly curated collection of uniquely geeky, handmade products that you are SO going to love!

Whatever you do, don’t miss the panel discussion, “What’s Your Passion: Letting Your Geek Flag Fly,” with current panelists including:

~ Dr. Andrea Letamendi, Clinical Psychologist, scientist, and convention addict/speaker. Host of UnderTheMaskonline.com, a collection of in-depth perspectives about heroes and villains and the people who love them.

~ Janelle Asselin, feminist/geek/tomboy, formerly a comic book editor at Disney Publications and DC Comics, and currently a project editor at Sideshow Collections and contributor at ComicsAlliance.com

~ Mairghread Scott, animation and comic book writer, “specializing in giant alien robots”, she was the first female to solo write an issue of Transformers.

~ Fanboy Comics’ own Barbra Dillon!
