THE DOLLFACE DAMES TO GO ‘FROM GEEK TO CHIC!’
LOS ANGELES, CA – Sunday, March 2nd 2014 – Set your phasers to stunning! The Dollface Dames (LA’s Theatrical Burlesque Troupe) and Fanboy Comics are presenting ‘From Geek to Chic! A Night of Burlesque for Your Inner Fanboy or Fangirl’ on Saturday, March 8th, 9:30 p.m. at Magicopolis in Santa Monica, CA.
Hosted by Spider-Man superfan and world renowned comedian Jeff May and the Dames’ Moonshine Madame Jessi-Belle, the event will be a geek’s dream come true! Starting at 9:30 p.m., Magicopolis’ lobby will be transformed into the ultimate costume party, with live magic demonstrations and much, much more! Fans in attendance will also have the chance to enter a cosplay costume contest, so be sure to don your cape and cowl for the chance to win fantastic prizes!
Seating for The Dollface Dames’ show will begin at 10:30 p.m., when the Dames’ burlesque dancers and sultry singers will perform all new routines as your favorite geeky characters. Interpretations of the sensuous ladies of geekdom will include Lola Boutée and Mona Bella (as Betty and Veronica from Archie Comics), Kitty Kat DeMille (as Superman), Dixie Mae Rebel (as Nancy Callahan from Sin City), Eva Eden (as Poison Ivy), and Jasminka Sage (as Zatanna from DC Comics), along with amazing special guest stars.
Following the Dames’ stage show, guests will have photo opportunities with the costumed Dames during the After Party with Magicopolis’ bartenders performing feats of magic.
