Join Fanboy Comics for Whedonopolis’ 6th Annual Halloween Charity Event

The Fanboy Comics staff is very excited to announce that they will be attending Whedonopolis‘ 6th Annual Halloween Charity Event, which will take place on Saturday, October 26th, at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in the Barnsdall Art Park of Los Angeles, CA. In association with Fandom Charities, the full-day event promises to be a hootenanny of celebrity appearances, geektastic vendors, exciting prizes and giveaways, tasty food trucks, and lots of cinematic goodness, all benefiting Journey House, a non-profit organization that assists former foster children with all aspects of adult life, including, but not limited to, continuing education, obtaining housing, and job placement.

This year’s event will feature screenings of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog, The Cabin in the Woods, Husbands, and the final season of The Guild.  In the early afternoon, Whedonopolis will have a special screening of Serenity, separate from the evening events, with proceeds benefiting Equality Now.

Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanboy Comics booth before the show to meet the creators of the graphic novels Something Animal and Identity Thief. Attendees will also be able to purchase the official Fanboy Comics t-shirt, so that they can show their geek pride in style. In addition, a number of other fantastic vendors and creators will be on hand to show attendees their amazing creations!

This charity event is not to be missed, as you can always guarantee a number of appearances by Whedon-friendly geek celebrities. Previous special guests have included Joss Whedon (the man, himself!), Jed Whedon, Zack Whedon, Maurissa T. Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, Vincent Caso, Alan Tudyk, Fran Kranz, and many, many more!

Tickets are available online and at the door, but be sure to get your soon; they will go fast!  Free onsite parking will be available.

Everyone at Fanboy Comics is greatly looking forward to this charity event, and we hope to see you there!
