Theatre Unleashed PokerWhen they are not playing video games or reading comics, the staff of Fanboy Comics loves to geek out about theatre.  There is something electric about watching talented performers while being part of a live audience.  Fanboy Comics makes every effort to support theatre and to foster the arts in all forms.  For that reason, we hope that you will join us for Theatre Unleashed’s 2nd Annual No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, February 23rd, at 7 p.m.!  All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the independent theatre company’s 2013 season of shows.

Fanboy Comics first learned of Theatre Unleashed last year with their west coast premiere of The Spidey Project, a phenomenal production that allowed theatregoers of all ages to root for their friendly, neighborhood webslinger.  This shining example of quality theatre showcased the talent behind the company, and we want to ensure that their doors remain open for years to come.

Guests of the tournament are able to pre-register for the main Texas Hold’em competition (at a $50 buy-in), which boasts a prize pool valued in the thousands of dollars!  In fact, the grand prize winner of the tournament will win 2 tickets to Absinthe (the critically acclaimed acro-cabaret variety show), a weekend stay at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, and 2 tickets to Mystere by Cirque de Soleil in Las Vegas!  Those who may be unsure of their poker skills may participate in Bingo games and a raffle, or simply enjoy the great food and bar.  (Bingo cards and raffle tickets may also be purchased in advance online.)
