Dear Fanboy Comics Readers:
The FBC staff is very excited to be exhibiting at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo, along with a host of other talented independent creators! Taking place on September 15th and 16th, 2012, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Comikaze Expo is LA’s largest pop culture convention.
Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanboy Comics booth (#922) to meet the creators of the graphic novels Something Animal and Identity Thief. As a special treat, advance copies of Identity Thief will be available for sale in advance of the September 25th release date! Attendees will also be able to purchase the official Fanboy Comics t-shirt, so that they can show their geek pride in style.
In addition, you will not want to miss the Super Indie Panel taking place on Saturday at 5 p.m., where LA-based independent comic book creators will discuss their own experiences in self-publishing, providing sage advice for creators interested in doing the same. The panelists will include Fanboy Comics President Bryant Dillon (Something Animal), Sebastian Kadlecik and John Bring (Penguins vs. Possums), Kristopher White (The 36), and Mairghread Scott (IDW’s Transformers: Rage of the Dinobots, Triage); the panel will be moderated by WE Comics Editor-in-Chief Jason Enright. Stay tuned for updates on the Super Indie Panel by visiting the Facebook event page. Following the panel, attendees can stop by the creators’ booths to purchase copies of their indie titles and to discuss more about how to publish and market your own comics! (WE Comics – Booth #523, The 36 – Booth #916, Penguins vs. Possums – Booth #725)
Everyone at Fanboy Comics is greatly looking forward to the convention, and we hope to see you there!
