Identity Thief CoverFANBOY COMICS TO RELEASE IDENTITY THIEF

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 10, 2012 – When Daphne and Craig move into a new apartment, they have every reason to believe that they have left their troubled past behind them. Everything seems perfect, but after the discovery of a mysterious hatch in his closet, Craig begins to realize that something disturbingly inhuman is seeking a way into his home, desperate to enter his life in the most intimate and unsettling way possible.

Fanboy Comics is proud to announce the upcoming release of its second graphic novel, Identity Thief, written by FBC co-founder Bryant Dillon (Something Animal) and with over 60 pages of original artwork by Meaghan O’Keefe.

Identity Thief is reminiscent, in tone and feel, of an episode of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits, but it features a completely original take on the ‘monster-in-the-closet’ concept,” says Fanboy Comics Managing Editor Barbra Dillon.  “The plot of the story, the creature at its center, and the chilling artwork by O’Keefe all work together to create a graphic novel that is sure to have readers checking under the bed before turning out the lights.”

Identity Thief will be available for purchase on the Fanboy Comics website starting on Tuesday, September 25, 2012.  The first 25 customers to purchase a copy of the book online will receive a limited edition art print.  In addition, attendees of Comikaze Expo (September 15-16, 2012) in Los Angeles, CA, will have an opportunity to buy advance copies of the graphic novel at the Fanboy Comics booth (#922).

Founded in early 2010 by self-professed “geeks” Bryant and Barbra Dillon and Sam Rhodes, Fanboy Comics seeks to provide an outlet for up-and-coming artists and writers with a desire to create new works and media.  By facilitating in-house collaborations and providing support and empowerment, FBC hopes to enable the production of professional and marketable creator-owned works.

Fanboy Comics’ upcoming digital comic, The Arcs, will be available later this year.
