The creative team behind Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo means business when it comes to the star power and activities planned for next weekend’s second annual event. Scheduled for September 15-16, 2012, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the convention recently announced the addition of Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and a pre-convention red carpet premiere for the grand prize winners of Elvira’s Horror Hunt, generating even more excitement for the pop culture event.
Before the convention begins, Elvira will be hosting a red carpet premiere and screening on Thursday, September 13th, at 8:00 p.m. for the grand prize winners of Elvira’s Horror Hunt, a horror film festival and competition presented in association with Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo and HorrorHound Magazine. The winners will be announced to the public on September 9th at HorrorHound Weekend. Admission is only $20.00, which may be purchased here.
Fans of Todd McFarlane will be excited to learn that the comic book and toy creator will be signing free autographs (limit two per person) for fans on Saturday, September 15th, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Booth #1061. In addition, the first 75 people at the booth will receive a free Spawn comic. Following the signing, McFarlane will be joining Stan Lee for a panel discussion on the Main Stage from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. regarding the future of entertainment.
