Fanbase Press is proud to announce that its flagship podcast, The Fanbase Weekly, will return for its sixth season on Monday, February 8, 2021! The Fanbase Weekly team is eager to return for another stellar season filled with exciting, new special guests discussing the latest in geek news.
For the Season 6 podcast premiere, co-hosts Bryant Dillon (Fanbase Press President), Claire Thorne (Fanbase Press Contributor, creator of A Geek’s Guide to Cross-Stitch: Journeys in Space), Drew Siragusa (Fanbase Press Senior Contributor), and Barbra Dillon (Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief) will be joined by special guest David Pepose, the popular comic book writer of the Ringo Award-nominated Spencer & Locke, Going to the Chapel, and the currently running series, Scout’s Honor. Future podcast guests for Season 6 will include award-winning author and illustrator Richard Fairgray (Black Sand Beach, Blastosaurus) and Debbie Smith Daughetee (founder, Kymera Press).
This season will also see the addition of two new rotating co-hosts: Fanbase Press Contributors Justin Peniston (writer – Hunter Black, Sonic Prime, founder – POPSKL podcast group) and Phillip Kelly (writer/director/performer/founder – POPSKL podcast group), both of which are part of The Fanbase Weekly’s recent “Dream Journal” podcast miniseries which examined Neil Gaiman’s seminal comic series, The Sandman.
In addition to the podcast’s standard episodes – those featuring the co-hosts and a special guest discussing the geeky and pop culture-focused news of the week – Season 6 will continue to feature over thirty Fanbase Feature episodes, including panel discussion retrospectives on such subjects as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Batman Versus Predator, and many more!
As a continuing feature of The Fanbase Weekly, we encourage listeners to get involved in the geeky conversation by calling into the official Fanbase Weekly phone line at 818-208-7379 and leaving us a message to share their thoughts on the subjects we discuss. Listener messages may be included in upcoming episodes of the podcast. In addition, be sure stay informed and join the conversation via The Fanbase Weekly‘s Facebook and Twitter pages, where curated geeky news stories are posted every weekday.
