In spite of the cancellation of this year’s in-person Día del Niño Bilingual Book Festival, dual language teacher Gisel Barret of Maxa Market and graphic designer Haydeé Yañez of MexiconsArt have rallied together to launch a VIRTUAL event! The event will take place from Friday, May 1, through Sunday, May 3 via Instagram Live (@ninosbookfest) with an incredible lineup of bilingual programming! The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to be participating for a read-a-long of its Eisner-nominated bilingual series, Quince, alongside a number of other talented creators!

The Día del Niño Bilingual Book Festival is a safe space where children and families can focus on the love of reading and language, featuring artists from all over the world. Día del niño (or children’s day) is an annual celebration held on April 30 throughout Mexico. In Mexico and other Latin countries, they will host festivals, music shows, magicians, special events with clowns, and more for children on this day.
