The Fanbase staff attended Empire Con 2019 (described as the ultimate weekend for fans of Star Wars) earlier this year in Los Angeles, CA! We saw a number of Star Wars celebrities, authors, fan groups, vendors, and more. (Be sure to check out our photo gallery from the event.)
Like any good bounty hunter, we didn’t return home empty handed. As you might have gleaned from the headline, we were able to score one of the sold-out Mandalorian charity art prints illustrated by very talented artist Matt Busch.
As described on the artist’s website, the art print was based on the Disney+ hit series, The Mandalorian, and this art was produced solely to help the Peter Mayhew Foundation, together with Christopher Sean (Kaz on Star Wars: Resistance), raising funds to purchase computers for a classroom of special needs students at a local Southern California school. In addition to the art prints selling out, Busch also donated the original painting for the cause, and the goal was achieved!
