Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).

Project #1: Gato in a tree

What it’s about: Gato in a Tree is a 7-minute animated film that will serve as a proof of concept/precursor to the feature film, Greñuda: Into the Paraje.  The short film will introduce all of our main characters as they band together to save Mr Gato, “who is stuck in a tree”, while giving just a hint of the adventures to come for Greñuda and her friends. Once complete, the film will be entered into film festivals as well as be used to pitch to investors and film producers.

In launching this project, the creators of Gato in a Tree wanted to expand the world of their award-winning graphic novel, Under the Cottonwood Tree, and venture into animation with the forthcoming feature length film Greñuda: Into the Paraje, an American southwest fairytale adventure.
