At San Diego Comic-Con 2014, animation legend Bill Plympton talks with Fanboy Comics’ Barbra Dillon about his work on his new film, Cheatin’, his experiences with crowdfunding, and more.

Cheatin’ tells the story of Jake and Ella who meet in a fateful bumper car collision and become the most loving couple in the long history of romance. But, when a scheming “other” woman drives a wedge of jealousy into their perfect courtship, insecurity and hatred spell out an untimely fate. With only the help of a disgraced magician and his forbidden “soul machine,” Ella takes the form of Jake’s numerous lovers, desperately fighting through malfunction and deceit as they try to reclaim their destiny. 

Plympton showed fans never-before-seen clips of Cheatin’ at San Diego Comic-Con Convention. The film will be released in theaters next month in Los Angeles.
