Daisy #3 gives us a reunion to root for while explaining some of the mythology behind the story. While the mystery behind Conor’s disappearance is coming to light, the mystery behind Daisy’s existence and purpose feels to be deepening.

Much like previous issues so far, this issue deals a heavy dose of horror along with a very intriguing story. Colin Lorimer’s tale feels like it’s coming into its own and a big part of that is establishing a compelling take on a commonly explored mythology. Lorimer’s take seems to lean so much more into the horror aspect, and his illustrations feel perfectly paired with the text. Some of the character designs are truly horrifying.

The colors by Joana Lafuente really play up the horror vibes, with some pretty great gruesome moments getting some extra “eek!” factor from their choices. Jim Campbell’s lettering feels organic, as usual, perfectly translating the script into tone.

Overall, with two more issues to go, I can’t wait to see how this story will fully play out. Daisy feels like an aesthetic and narrative triumph so far, and I can only imagine the directions in which this can go.
