Paul and Corey Cross the Streams is a bi-monthly podcast in which hosts Paul Pakler and Corey Pepper watch and review streaming content – so you don’t have to!
“By the light…of the silvery moon…your sister June…”
That’s a line from the George Burns’ 1988 vehicle, 18 Again!, which is neither here nor there. The point is: It’s June! At some point during the month, there will be a full moon. And we’ll all fall in love and lose our minds. This week, Corey chose The Heartbreak Kid (1972), perhaps the cringiest film ever made. Directed by Elaine May, written by Neil Simon, and starring (among others) the brilliant Charles Grodin, there is a lot to discuss. Put on your sunscreen and plop down your beach towel.
