Fifty Shades MTBy Michael Fitzgerald Troy

Let me begin this by saying that I am a contrarian and often disagree with what satiates most of the spoon-fed populace.  Imagine my horror when I discovered the latest sensation to terrorize the country in the form of a 3-part novel series, Fifty Shades of Grey, by E.L. James. What started as Twilight fanfic and was later reworked into the smut d'jour has exploded into viral popularity in the age of mediocrity.  With titillating bondage and other cornball fantasies to roll your bean to, it is evidently "revolutionizing" life in the bedroom for women everywhere, igniting dormant flames of fire left and right. Even Dr. Oz (that big hornball!) and 20/20 are on the Shades tip.

My name is Jason Enright, and I’m a contributor here at Fanboy Comics. Beyond being a total geek for all things comic book related, I am an also an avid fan of tabletop roleplaying games. I’ve played various games from Dungeons & Dragons to Call of Cthulhu to the Marvel Heroes RPG. Recently, I had a chance to sit down with Christian Lindke, who is currently working on Dice Chuckers, a documentary about tabletop roleplaying games.

Tony DenisonIf you thought awards season was over, don't worry, there is always an awards show happening in Hollywood.  Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to cover the 16th Annual Prism Awards, which honor the accurate depiction of social issues in TV and Film. Honorees included shows like Parenthood and Southland, as well as actors and TV personalities from William H. Macy, Craig T. Nelson, and Dr. Drew for focusing in on issues like substance abuse, mental illness, and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) in military veterans.  The yellow carpet was filled with celebs, and I got the inside scoop from some of your favorite television actors.
