The following is an interview with writer Tony Caballero about his work on the top-rated Lifetime Original Movie, Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story.

 

Below, Caballero talks to Fanboy Comics President Bryant Dillon about how he got involved in Magic Beyond Words, his first experiences with Harry Potter, his writing process, and an exciting, upcoming project based on another popular young adult book series!

Fanboy and fangirls alike will not want to miss Shelf Life, an irreverent new live-action web series about four action figures perched on a young boy's shelf.  In its hilarious first season, Shelf Life will introduce audiences to Hero Man (Travis Willingham: Thor, Transformers, Marvel Super Hero Squad), Hero Lass (Tara Platt: The Gilmore Girls, Charmed, Afterworld), Bug Boy (Yuri Lowenthal: Terminator: TSCC, Ben 10: Alien Force, Legion of Superheroes), and Samurai Snake (Bryan Enk), as they wax poetic on a range of hot-button topics.  This R-rated series leaves no controversial topic untouched and no curse word unused!

Shelf Life Season One was written by Lowenthal and Eisner Award-winning comic book writer Paul Jenkins (Inhumans, Captain America, Wolverine: Origin) and is directed by Jenkins.

Shelf Life creators/producers Tara Platt and Yuri Lowenthal sat down with Fanboy Comics President Bryant Dillon to discuss their new web series, the process for creating their characters, and which action figure they would be and why!

The Strong Brothers, Rider (Boy Meets World, Cabin Fever) and Shiloh (Irish Twins, Cabin Fever), are currently promoting their short, The Dungeon Master, which won Best Short Film Online at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.

 

Synopsis: After they discover they were both fantasy geeks as kids, Shane and Cooper decide to spend a night playing Dungeons and Dragons. But they canʼt remember the rules, so they invite a true gamer to help them. When he shows up in a cape, things get awkward very quickly...

 

In addition, Rider is promoting the DVD release of Boy Meets World Season 6, which was released on July 5, 2011.

 

Lauren Montgomery (Green Lantern: First Flight, Wonder Woman) acted as co-director of DC's latest animated feature, Batman: Year One.  At the film's premiere at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, she talks with Fanboy Comics Creative Director Sam Rhodes about fan expectations, the possibility of getting an animated feature to the theaters, and her hopes for future projects!
