Wonder Woman Wednesday: I Am Wonder Fan!

Welcome to another week of Wonder Woman Wednesday! This week, I thought I'd try something a little different. This week's column isn't about Wonder Woman. This week is about you, Wonder Woman's Fans!

When I first starting writing Wonder Woman Wednesday for Fanboy Comics, I joined a bunch of Wonder Woman clubs on Facebook. I figured it would be a good way to interact with other WW fans and see why Wonder Woman is important to people other than myself.

I knew there were plenty of Wonder Woman fans out there, but I don't think I was prepared for the legion of countless devotees! Some even bigger fans than me! Okay, so tons of fans bigger than me, as I have yet to commit to a WW tattoo or car seats!

Wonder Woman has an amazing fan base. It is so much fun to see people's outrageous collections of Wonder Woman swag and see their passionate opinions about the character herself! Whether it's celebrating a new WW statue, debating casting news, or discussing the current state of the greatest superheroine of all time, there is always something exciting happening in the world of everyone's favorite Amazon Princess!

Just like "Trekkies," "Bronies," or dare I say Lady Gaga's "Little Monsters," Wonder Woman has a vast fanbase as wide, varied, and interesting as the character herself. Realizing the need to spotlight said fan base, I decided to do something about it.

That is why I created "I Am Wonder Fan." As of now, I Am Wonder Fan is a Facebook page for fans to share their pictures, thoughts, and stories about Wonder Woman and what she means to them. I would eventually love to turn it into a documentary celebrating the fans of Wonder Woman. (I think we deserve one, for Hera's sake!)

Discovering Wonder Woman at an early age had a profound and life-long effect on my life. I love sharing the experience with others and look forward to your involvement.

So, head on over to "I Am Wonder Fan" and share your passion with me and the rest of the Wonder Woman community! (A bunch of "likes" and "shares" wouldn't hurt the forecast for getting said documentary off the ground!)

Let's show everyone what is no wonder to us, that WW has the greatest fans on the planet! Spread the word - let our voice be heard! Go ahead, fellow Amazons!  All the world is waiting for you!
