#CrowdfundingFridays: ‘Lead City #1,’ ‘Sagas of the Shield Maiden,’ and ‘Dean Ormston: Working-Class Superhero’

Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! Project #1: Lead City #1

What it's about
: On their way to San Francisco, a homesteader and his family are stranded high in the Sierra Nevadas. They seek refuge in a nearby town at the worst possible time, as thieves and killers from all over the West have gathered for the annual Lead City contest.

Project #2: Sagas of the Shield Maiden

What it's about
: Sagas of the Shield Maiden is an oversized, viking western, perfect-bound comics anthology that recounts the legends, or sagas, of the titular Shield Maiden as she traverses Scandinavia and beyond the North Sea. In addition to being heavily influenced by Viking history and Norse mythology, the stories all draw upon traits and themes commonly found in the western genre.

: In addition to the beautifully presented, oversized comic, on offer is a set of 6 pinup prints by a selection of brilliant guest artists.

Project #3: Dean Ormston: Working-Class Superhero

What it's about
: A documentary about Dean Ormston, celebrated comic book artist, and his journey back from a brain injury that left him unable to draw.

The coolest backer reward
: Pledge £45 or more to receive: one-off signed limited edition print; original Black Hammer print from the man himself signed and limited to just 250; plus, exclusive access to the documentary, plus extra footage/interviews not included in the final release.
