Whether you're a board game aficionado or a more casual player, the holidays are the perfect time to add to your board game collection. Spending time with family and friends provides the perfect excuse, and plenty of potential players, to try out a new game. If you're the more adventurous sort, try picking up a new RPG system. Many Beginner Games can be played on the spot, as well, and a new corebook will provide plenty of gaming for the new year.

LOS ANGELES, CA – November 18, 2013 – The creators of the epic comic book series Penguins vs. Possums are proud to announce that their characters will soon come to life with the release of one-of-a-kind, hand-sculpted and painted figurines!  Set to premiere at Long Beach Comic & Horror Con 2013, characters Emperor Xiao, Zolin (Captain of the Guard), and The Chosen One will leap off comic book pages and onto the convention floor.

When the economic downturn took Derek Adnams’ job, he made an eminently practical decision: he would become a comic book writer. He recently won the UcreateComics and Write Brothers comic book scripting competition and was awarded a contract to write SUITZ #2.  Over the next few weeks, Fanboy Comics will be chronicling Adnams’ journey throughout the creative process, as UcreateComics and Write Brothers will assist him in going from concept to development and production and, finally, to finished product.  This is his story.

By Derek Adnams

The first thing I can remember seeing is Amazing Spider Man #188. That was in 1979, and although I couldn’t read, I’d look at the pictures and make up words to go along with them. In high school I started writing comic books properly, following the writers whose talent spoke to my teenage wasteland mentality – people like Frank Miller, Alan Moore, Chris Claremont, Neil Gaiman, and Grant Morrison. Always Grant Morrison.

The Fanboy Comics staff and the creators behind The Arcs introduce the epic graphic novel that focuses on the fates of the last archangels in Heaven.

The following is an interview with Kristopher White (The Thirty Six, Father Robot) and Jason Enright (WE Comics, Jimmy Brass: Second Grade Detective, Triage), two of the creators involved in the Indiegogo campaign for Golden Apple Productions. In this interview, the creators chat with Fanboy Comics about their respective comic book properties, the goals of the Indiegogo campaign, and how you can support these and other independent creators through an Indiegogo donation.

This interview was conducted on August 13, 2013.

Dear Fanboy Comics Readers:

Fans of intergalactic space romps filled with hilarity rejoice! Man from Space, Marc Jackson’s tale of the adventures of an outer-space a--hole and his goldfish, Michael, is now available online as a small press comic! Completely revamped for the new release (but in the good way, not the “George Lucas” way), Man from Space has been described as “a cross between Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and Samurai Jack with a sci-fi twist” by FBC president Bryant Dillon and is sure to be enjoyed by any fanboy or fangirl with a sense of humor and a jet pack in their closet.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2013, FBC's Shannon Cabeen talks with founder and CEO Huston Huddleston about his work to restore the bridge of the Enterprise, the impressive number of Star Trek celebrities involved, and more.

Bluwater Productions is a comic book publisher that does not shy away from controversy, as is evidenced by their recent decision to move forward with the creation of their latest Female Force biography of TV personality Paula Deen.  As detailed in Bluewater's official press release below, the publisher and the comic book's writer, Michael Troy, do not condone Deen's racial remarks; however, they hope to take the difficult path of forgiveness in their latest title.
