FANBOY COMICS TO LAUNCH ‘THE PREVIEWS PARTY PODCAST’

LOS ANGELES, CA – March 1, 2013 – Fanboy Comics (FBC) is proud to announce the latest addition to its podcast lineup with The PREVIEWS Party Podcast!

With its first episode scheduled to premiere on Friday, March 8th, 2013, The PREVIEWS Party Podcast will be a monthly show that examines Diamond Comic Distributor, Inc.’s monthly “mag-a-log,” offering insights to listeners on the upcoming comics, graphic novels, and other merchandise that will be available in stores nationwide.  Led by hosts Jason Enright (Editor-in-Chief of WE Comics, Fanboy Comics Senior Contributor), Scott Rubin (Figures.com Collectibles Reviewer), and Kristine Chester (Fanboy Comics Senior Contributor, Host of The Worlds That Never Were), the show will educate comic book fans as to the exciting releases in the coming months, as well as the importance of pre-ordering and its effect on the comic book industry as a whole.

“As a former retailer, I learned how important pre-orders and pull lists were to how comic book stores do business,” says Enright.  “Now, as an independent comic book publisher, I understand how difficult it can be to inform readers about your books. The PREVIEWS Party Podcast will be a great way to educate listeners about how to order comic books and a way to highlight amazing, new stories.”

The first episode of The PREVIEWS Party Podcast will be released on Friday, March 8th, on the Fanboy Comics website, and it will also be available on KryptonRadio.com and on iTunes.

Fanboy Comics (FBC) is an online conglomerate of geek media, providing its readers with daily reviews, interviews, and podcasts that span the pop culture spectrum.  In 2011, FBC added independent comic book publisher to its credits, when it published its first graphic novel, Something Animal.  The company’s second graphic novel, Identity Thief, was released in September 2012.  Fanboy Comics seeks to provide an outlet for up-and-coming artists and writers with a desire to create new works and media.  By facilitating in-house collaborations and providing support and empowerment, FBC hopes to enable the production of professional and marketable creator-owned works.
