Fanbase Press to Launch ‘Sandman’ Podcast Mini-Series through ‘The Fanbase Weekly’

Fanbase Press is excited to announce that its flagship podcast, The Fanbase Weekly, will soon launch Dream Journal – A Focus on Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, a podcast mini-series that will provide an in-depth analysis of Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic book series, The Sandman.

Dream Journal will be a 10-episode limited podcast series, with each episode analyzing one of the 10 trade paperbacks that span the full run of the Sandman series.  Every episode will feature a roundtable of esteemed storytellers, including Justin Peniston (writer – Hunter Black, Mega Man: Fully Charged), Kelly Sue Milano (writer – HexComix’s Hex 11), Lisa K. Weber (artist – HexComix’s Hex 11), Claire Thorne (founder – Unexpected Hobby, A Geek’s Guide to Cross-Stitch: Journeys in Space), and Phillip Kelly (Fanbase Press Contributor, writer/director/performer), who will not only explore the themes of Gaiman’s seminal series, but also delve into the role of dreams in narrative storytelling and the overall impact that stories can impart on their audiences.

“I don’t normally need an excuse to reread great comics, or to talk about those great comics with smart and interesting people,” notes co-host Peniston.  “This experience has still been more rewarding than I ever would have expected.”

Co-host Weber adds, “The Sandman is one of my greatest creative influences; getting to read it again and discuss all of its nuances has been a DREAM!”

Be sure to tune in for the launch of Dream Journal – A Focus on Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at www.FanbasePress.com and on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Libsyn.  Subsequent episodes will air every Tuesday.  You can also follow The Fanbase Weekly on Facebook and on Twitter (@FanbaseWeekly).
