Why scheme, lie, cheat, and steal? Because an honest day’s work is so darn hard, and the payoff is usually higher; at least that’s what Mickey Prohaska would have you believe in the 2011 Sundance film The Convincer. Mickey (Greg Kinnear, As Good as It GetsLittle Miss Sunshine) enters every scene with one objective in mind: how can I get more out of this situation? His vile, unapologetic persona is always on the lookout for another scam, and he’s about to unearth his easiest con yet. Once his plot is put into motion, nothing, and no one, can stand in his way. Or, so he thinks.

Dear Fanboy Comics Readers:

This was my first year ever to cosplay at Comic-Con, and there was no better character to portray than The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen!  As one of the strongest female characters in Young Adult fiction, Katniss will be making her movie debut in Lionsgate's film adaptation, due in theatres in March of 2012.

The Lionsgate booth at SDCC featured an over-sized HG film poster, as well as several screens that played the recently released motion poster.  In addition, Lionsgate staffers handed out Mockingjay pins and posters, which became the most sought-after swag of the Con.

Bruce Timm (Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, All-Star Superman) acted as Executive Producer on DC's latest animated feature, Batman: Year One.  At the film's premiere at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, he talks with Fanboy Comics Creative Director Sam Rhodes about the creative process behind the film!
